Dacorum Community Choir was formed in November 2009 by our Musical Director, Rufus Frowde. We started with 30 members and now have almost 100.
Over the years, we have performed at venues as diverse as the Royal Albert Hall, the Houses of Parliament, the Herts County Show and on Three Counties Radio.
In 2013, we staged a Community Opera and on our 10th anniversary, we gave a concert featuring the premiere of piece especially written for us by Rufus, our Musical Director.
Alongside these events, we regularly perform in the community in Care Homes and Clubs and at charitable fundraising events.
Our members come from a variety of musical backgrounds, from experienced singers to absolute novices! Rufus is an expert in seeking out the potential in everyone and developing it to the full. You don’t have to be able to read music, but simply have an enthusiasm for singing.
